There has been an influx of multi cookers on the market lately. To make things easier for you, I’ve collated a list of what I feel are the best multi cookers. This will allow you to make an informed decision and not worry about spending your money on a sub par unit.

Ninja Foodi Max 9 in 1
I’ve already covered the Foodi Max 9 in 1 in my comprehensive review (found here). However, I feel that it deserves the top spot on this list for numerous reasons.
The first is the price. It’s extremely well priced for such a brilliant machine. It has 9 different modes, ranging from pressure cooking to grilling. It also has the air frying function that a lot of people are looking for. In addition to this, you can slow cook food in it as well.
The 9 in 1 has already saved me quite a bit of money when comparing cooking the same food in my conventional oven.
Not only that, but it’s really easy to use and it’s also really straightforward and quick to clean.
It’s also not overly noisy, which is a factor that not many people consider. For my time using the Foodi Max so far, I’ve really enjoyed trying new recipes that were included in the recipe book that comes in the box. In particular, the potato wedges were great.
It’s a considered purchase, and for some it might be a tad too big for their kitchen, but you if have the space for it, I would highly recommend picking this up.
I’ve been using Ninja products for years and they really do stand the test of time, and I’ve got no doubt the Foodi Max will last me for many years to come.

Tefal Turbo Cuisine & Fry
Tefal are renowned for their cooking utensils. When a friend of mine said they had been using theirs for a few months, I knew I had to try this out.
It is a bit taller than the Foodi Max (although I’ve got the space for that, so it’s no real issue). It also has 15 different cooking modes in it, including pressure cooking, air frying and also slow cooking. You can also bake and grill your food in it as well.
I’ve seen the price of it fluctuate back and forth (as is the case with all products), and it does use a marginally smaller amount of electricity when compared to the Foodi Max.
During my time with it, I really enjoyed using it. It was easy to use, although I do prefer the interface on the Foodi Max.
Noise wise, I would say it’s on par with other multi cookers.
In terms of the quality of the food that was cooked in, it really did taste amazing. I used this to cook duck breasts and they were succulent and moist, but it was cooked in a fraction of the time compared to conventional options. I also made my own French fries in this using the air fryer option and they were cooked to perfection. It tasted amazing, and much better than anything you could buy outside (and at a fraction of the price, too).
Pressure cooking on this was extremely easy. I know that some people do get worried about doing it, but the whole process was incredibly straightforward with the Tefal Turbo Cuisine.
I would say that due to the lower power consumption, it took a tad longer to cook though compared to the Foodi Max. Internally it’s only slightly bigger than the Foodi Max (0.1 litre). Having said that, if you opted for this, you’d be very happy with it.

Instant Pot Duo Crisp & Air Fryer 11 in 1
Instant Pot are a brand more known in the USA, however, they’re really starting to make a splash across the rest of the world as well.
They offer various sizes of their Duo Crisp 11 in 1. These sizes are 5.7 litres and 8 litres.
Regardless of the size, it still has the same great features on it. It’s the lowest priced multi cooker on this list. With the price reduction, there have been a few concessions. The first is the overall look of the multi cooker. Whilst it functions perfectly well, it doesn’t look as fancy as the other two multi cookers on this list.
This isn’t a deal breaker at all, but it doesn’t have the same high end look as the Foodi Max or the Turbo Cuisine.
The other alteration is the way to select the mode of choice. Again, it function perfectly well to select each mode, but it’s button presses instead of a selection dial. The buttons are fine, but it is missing that high class feel. That is really the only downsides to the unit.
The good news is that the selection of modes on it are fantastic. These include air frying, pressure cooking, grilling, baking and slow cooking.
Again, I tested my home made French fries in the Duo Crisp and they were amazing. I also pressure cooked a small chicken in it before finishing it off with the air fryer option and it tasted amazing. This is the kind of food quality that you would get in a restaurant.
For those on a tighter budget and don’t have a lot of room, then the 5.7 litre version of this is a great option.
- SAVE ENERGY AND TIME: Save more than 80% energy and cost and up to 70% faster pressure cooking than other cooking methods
